Pulsar

Valuing the potential, talent and professional aspirations of young people between the ages of 15 and 18 is the goal of this mentoring program, which will connect girls and women who are a reference in the Brazilian market.

Everis, a multinational consulting firm that offers strategy and business solutions, from the NTT DATA Group, announces through its Foundation the launch of the Pulsar Program. It is an initiative that aims to connect teenagers between the ages of 15 and 18 with a network of influential women so that they can discover and develop their potential to achieve their professional aspirations, focused on their talents. The idea is to encourage adolescents to continue their education through formal education without limiting their goals to any gender condition.

The Pulsar mentoring group is made up of women who play a strong leadership role in the most diverse spheres of society (educational, business, economic, social inclusion) and who consider it fundamental to reduce the social gender differences that exist in society. They are motivated to inspire the participating girls by sharing their own experiences and experiences so that these girls can develop their potentials and achieve their professional aspirations.

Brazil is the first country in Latin America for which everis brings the program, through its Foundation. In Spain, the project is in its second edition and has been achieving great success. The methodology used is based on the "learning by doing" model, which seeks to support adolescents and pay attention to their talents, encouraging them to complete their formal education and training and to be protagonists of their own destinies. It is oriented to the promotion of curiosity, exploration, discovery, interaction and creation of contacts.

"The excellent results obtained in the first edition of the program in Spain have been an inspiration to improve the methodology, to create tools for fostering the relationship between the participants, to increase the number of girls and mentors, and, above all, to take this experience to other countries" , says Karla Alarcón, director of the everis Foundation. For her, the decision to begin this expansion of the program by Brazil is due to the country's high rates of gender inequality and the commitment of Brazilians to empower women. "Brazilian women have been increasingly working on this gender issue and are actively working on this issue. This movement creates an environment conducive to initiatives such as the Pulsar Program. "

In the Púlsar, which will last seven months, the girls, with the help of the mentors, will work and develop skills such as personal and social skills, generation and selection of ideas, autonomy and personal initiative, communication, among others. In each session, a specific goal is highlighted. In this first edition, six mentors and six adolescents from a public school in São Paulo participate.
